Friendships that start at Fielmann

Colleagues can become friends for life. Some friendships at Fielmann date back to the very first days of an apprenticeship, while others began through everyday work, training or development programs – and some have lasted for more than 30 years.

To mark International Friendship Day, we want to share some of these stories. Stories of people who met at Fielmann and whose connection has grown far beyond the workplace.

When people learn together, overcome challenges, celebrate successes and spend a significant part of their everyday lives together, special bonds can form. Whether in our stores, during an apprenticeship or at our Head Office: what starts as a connection between colleagues can grow into a genuine friendship over time.

Some of our colleagues have shared how they met at Fielmann, what connects them and how their friendships have developed over the years. Here, they share their personal stories and memories with us.

Ingmar und Martin erzählen, wie sie sich kennengelernt haben.

“We met in 1991 on our very first day of vocational school in Munich.
Ever since, we’ve shared the same employer as well as a friendship outside of work.”

Lisa und Ayla erzählen, wie sie sich kennengelernt haben.

“We met in 2012 during our apprenticeship. We always travelled to our block classes
together and often visited each other. Today, we still attend training courses together
and have even been on holiday together.”

Die Azubis und dual Studierenden des Head Office in Hamburg erzählen, wie sich die Zusammenarbeit anfühlt.

“We make our working days so enjoyable that it feels like spending the whole day
with friends. And whenever the opportunity arises, we also go out for something to
eat or drink together after work.”

Ash und Antonia erzählen, wie sie sich kennengelernt haben.

“We work together as part of the same team, and our great working relationship has
grown into a friendship that also gives us the opportunity to learn about and
appreciate each other’s cultures. Our shared passion for Matcha and Pilates is just
one of the many things we have in common.”

Piri und Clemens erzählen, wie sie sich kennengelernt haben.

“We met during an employee photo shoot and had a great time together.
Piri lives in Offenburg and I live in Magdeburg – whenever we meet again at
Fielmann, we’re always happy to see each other.”
